A New, Larger Facility Creates More Room to Serve Dealers

Camarillo, CA – February 2019   Intelligent Weighing Technology has announced that, in order to better serve its dealers, it has relocated to a new 10,000 square-foot operating facility in Camarillo, Calif. This rapidly expanding company serves the scale dealer network, from Alaska to Panama. They supply a complete range of high-quality laboratory balances, industrial scales and weighing accessories.

The move enables Intelligent Weighing Technology to increase its product inventory, with more stock on hand for faster shipping. A larger space will also allow more room for assembly.  In addition, new staff will provide even better customer service. “We know some customers must wait weeks to receive their order from other companies,” said Richard Sharpe, President of Intelligent Weighing Technology. “We understand that having precise, dependable weighing equipment has a direct effect on our dealers and their customers. Receiving their orders quickly has a huge positive impact on their business.”

“We don’t just sell scales and balances, we understand them,” said Paula Sharpe, Vice President and General Manager. “Our staff is highly trained and knowledgeable about every product we sell. Our solution-focused philosophy empowers our employees to help dealers determine the best product for a given application and need.”

Intelligent Weighing Technology’s new facility is located at 1100 Avenida Acaso in Camarillo, California. Citing the easy link to the 101 freeway and local airports, Richard Sharpe stated that they plan to remain in Ventura County for the foreseeable future.

Disabled Veterans Sail Day

During the first weekend of the summer, the Channel Islands Yacht Club hosts its annual Disabled Veterans Sail Day. It is a day to bring together disabled veterans from all over Southern California to take them out on boats with their families for a relaxing cruise around the Santa Barbara Channel.

My wife Paula and I are proud to participate in this event by providing our own sailboat and expert sailing (if I do say so myself!) to give a disabled vet a day of paradise on the sea. We enjoy sailing, and we love the opportunity to share our passions with others, especially when it’s for a good cause.

On this particular trip, we were pleased to host retired Air Force vet Richard Thorpe and his wife Beth.
